Ini dia salah satu lagu Anberlin yang selalu bisa bikin geter-geter. Lagu ini cover dari When In Rome. Ini salah satu lagu yang-kalau kata Rolling Stone sih-“lagu yang punya sense”. That one song that you will never get bored. Dan lagu ini, untuk dirinya, yang saat saya pertama kali bertemu dengannya saya menjadi kaku, gak bisa ngomong dengan lancar, dan deg degan :

Ada sebuah tarikan energi saat tadi siang saya membaca buku dan suara seorang Ustadz yang sedang dakwah dari siaran televisi berujar yang berkesimpulan kira-kira : Korupsi dan koruptor di Indonesia ini hanya akan bisa dihilangkan dengan satu cara, cara yang belum pernah dipraktikkan di Indonesia, dan dipercaya ampuh dan menimbulkan efek jera.

Saya tahu bahwa sang Ustadz berkata seperti itu karena sudah kehilangan akal untuk mencari solusi bagaimana tikus-tikus kotor itu diberantas. Perkataan atas dasar cinta. Menusuk untuk menyembuhkan. Membunuh untuk menghidupkan.

Seketika sang Ustadz yang beraksen keAraban dengan sengau-sengaunya itu, saya  teringat akan kutipan dari Dalai Lama :

Dan pikiran ini masih ada di kepala saya… ke arah mana mindset saya harusnya berlabuh. Pada pemikiran sang Ustadz atau Dalai Lama?

• Lulus STAN dan diwisuda di JCC Plenary Hall, bersama dengan ratusan (ribuan?) lulusan lainnya. Atmosfer saat menerima medali dan turun dari main stage dan ditepuktangani oleh seluruh Hall saat itu… luar biasa.
• Mulai menjalani hidup yang lebih bernilai saat saya menggali lebih dalam tentang Buddhism (Sekarang saya dalam proses menjadi vegetarian, good for me tho!).
• Menonton panggung-panggung musik spesial mulai dari Bandung Berisik, Burgerkill : Venomous Alive, Parkway Drive, dan banyak lagi. Akhirnya bisa berfoto bareng Winston McCall dan James Hartley! They are the shit!

Yang harus dibenahi :

• Tahun lalu buku yang berhasil saya baca sangat sangat sedikit, dikarenakan kuliah dan lain hal. Seingat saya, saya hanya menyelesaikan 2 buku Supernova dan The Lost Symbol.
• Olahraga. That’s a must!
• Membeli lebih banyak album musik.

Another bad game for United. After the loss from Blackburn game, here comes The Toons crashing United. Do I feel disappointed? Of course. 

But…

I always be there for United. Win, or lose.

I always try my best to see their match even in a small event like Carling Cup or so.

I never mock United players. Unlike some Chelsea fans who do that to Torres.

I always admit if United playing a bad game. I always admit if United lose and i face it.

I love United since i was in Primary School.

You don’t love football club for winning or losing. Or even their trophies. You love them just because who they are. The history, the loss, the tragedies, and the dreams they had achieve.

And at least.. I love them no matter what. I am a better human being than you, who disappear when your favorite team is losing.

Bagaimana mungkin seseorang goyah imannya hanya karena ucapan Natal? Jika benar terjadi, betapa lemahnya iman orang itu?

I’m listening to A Day To Remember now. It seems their hype within the teenagers now all calm down. I used to not to really care but listen them sometimes. Time to give them more?

I am into that weird hour of tranquillity (again). Jam - jam dimana saya hanya ditemani kegelapan, koneksi internet, ponsel yang di silent-mode, dan suara air keran yang menetes di dalam kamar mandi. 

Anyway… saya lagi sering ngelamun tentang satu hal. Satu hal yang mungkin tabu dibicarakan di budaya Timur. Saya sering mendengar / membaca tulisan tulisan yang berkonklusi :

“Di surga kita akan hidup dengan penuh kebahagiaan, serta abadi”.

Kita hidup tumbuh besar dengan arti dari kata-kata ini hidup di otak kita. Doktrin kitab suci? Mungkin. 

Tapi kok rasanya gak selaras ya? antara “Keabadian” dan ”Bahagia”. Menurut saya, hidup ini indah karena kita tahu bahwa kita gak mungkin abadi. Atas “keselarasan” itu, kita bisa merasakan bahwa kematian akan selalu ada disana menunggu kita. Kita merasa bahagia atas suatu keadaan, karena kita tau keadaan bahagia itu tidak bisa kita dapati selamanya. Karena kita tau kita akan mati maka kita bisa menghargai keadaan itu. 

Contohnya seperti ini :

Saya bahagia mengetahui bahwa Manchester United akan datang ke Indonesia besok.

Artinya, saya merasa bahagia karena saya tau bahwa Manchester United tak akan sering ke Indonesia, 10 tahun sekali pun belum tentu! Oleh karenanya, saya bahagia akan hal itu. Mungkin, saya gak punya cukup umur untuk melihat mereka selain besok? Nah!

Kita merasa bahagia karena kita tau bahwa gak ada yang abadi. Walau kita gak menyadari “keselarasan” ini, tapi kita hidup selama ini dengannya. Tapi di surga nanti, kita akan hidup bahagia. Selamanya.

Kita tentu gak bisa mengatakan sesuatu sebagai “kebahagiaan” kalau gak ada kesedihan ada disampingnya. Suatu kata sifat adalah komparasi dari sifat lain yang berlawanan. 

Pernah membayangkan selama apa sih ‘selamanya’ itu? Jangan. Nanti bisa gila. Haha.

Di surga, kita akan hidup selamanya dengan kebahagiaan (kalau kita di surga gak akan merasa sedih, bagaimana bisa mengatakan disana akan bahagia?).

Satu kutipan yang bisa memperjelas maksud saya di tulisan ini :

Chemical Magazine: You have toured all over the world and you must of seen some amazing places. Where was the most memorable place you have been too?

As I Lay Dying: Indonesia was very memorable to me because I rarely see that type of combination of wealth and poverty directly side by side. It was a beautiful country as well and the fans were absolutely diehard.
